What is French Yesterdays? We are dealers in quality French antiques and collectibles. We don't have a real-world store but sell exclusively via the Internet, either at auction or through e-mail.
What is this web site? We call this site our Web Showroom. It is not really a store because we show no prices and we have no shopping cart or check-out. If you just want to browse and look, that's fine- enjoy. If you'd like more information or a price, just send us an e-mail and will respond as quickly as we can.
What are your specialties? As you can see, we sell many different kinds of merchandise. Antique religious objects are one area where we have a regular clientele of churches and clergy. Another area where we are strong is in vintage kitchen and domestic items; we supply a number of decorators and dealers in the U.S.
Why do you show items you've already sold? Mainly to give you, the browser, a better idea of the kinds of high-quality vintage merchandise we buy and sell. Most of our items are one-of-a-kind, but sometimes we can locate similar pieces on request.
Is everything on your site for sale? Almost but not quite. Aside from the items already sold, we also show a few items from our private collection.
What about payment? We welcome US dollar personal, corporate, bank or cashier's checks. We are pleased to accept credit card payments through PayPal or BidPay; we regret that we can't accept credit cards directly.
What about shipping? We charge you only the real shipping cost. We ship mostly from Europe, sometimes from the U.S. We find transatlantic postal service to be extremely reliable and the most economical method for most merchandise. Valuable or urgent items travel by FedEx or UPS.
What is your guarantee? Like Nordstrom's, we believe the best business policy is 'The customer is always right.' This has worked for us in our auction business, where we have a very high rate of return buyers. (Please check our feedback on eBay!) Our policy is simple: you can return anything for any reason for a full refund, less shipping costs.
